Non-hormonal Contraceptives or "on-demand contraceptives": is a typical project of blocking protein-protein interactions emerging from A single protein in each side of the sperm and the oocyte
We identified by docking a few candidates. Two of them show inhibition in IVF experiments of mice oocytes/sperm and hamster oocyte with human sperm, but in too high concentrations. This project was supported for two and a half years by "Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation" and is currently extended to include crystallography and direct protein-protein binding assays.
